Ever since Debbie was eight years old, she has been passionate about Civil War History. So, imagine how happy it made her to buy a documented safe house on one of the routes of the Underground Railroad.
Debbie was not in her dream house for long before unusual incidents began. Many people dismiss the unexplained, but she knew exactly what was happening.
It turns out that Debbie’s little piece of history was haunted.

Housekeeping Notes
You may have noticed that episodes are not releasing as quickly as expected. I continue to have production issues, but the workflow is getting easier. Thank you for your patience with me as I learn. It’s not easy being a one-woman show. I have decided that I want to release high-quality episodes rather than poor-quality episodes in rapid succession. As I tighten up the editing process, a stricter schedule will fall into place. Until then, if you subscribe to the podcast with the service of your choice, new episodes will automatically download to your device.

I’m not a believer, but Debbie sounds quite sincere; makes me think maybe there’s…something? Besides the paranormal topic, what an amazing treasure of artifacts and the correspoding history. Great podcast, Stacy. And timely 😉
Stacy
Debbie was such a delightful guest. I was excited to see the artifacts too. Thank you for listening!

Love love love this episode! I’m quite sure you know I’m an adamant believer. I’ve been able to see and hear people that others couldn’t forever (literally, I have no memory of when this started, it just was always there). It scared me as a kid. As an adult I embraced it, and do the occasional reading for people. For a few years, I did readings full time. As such, I’ve seen and listened to many, many “ghosts” (spoiler: sometimes they’re just imprints of things that happened in a place).
Those years of being constantly open really hammered home to me that we have far, far more to fear from incarnate humans than we do from bodiless spirits. So now when my resident ghost visits, we have a nice chat (or rather, I listen to her because she’s a helpful lady) and am not creeped out.
My kids are another story ?
PS: When we were going to buy a circa 1870 farm house, EVERYONE asked if it was haunted!
